Old crash-bug solved?

Postby andrei » 13 Feb 2006 15:23

VLC Player versions higher than 0.7.2 crashed my Windows XP computer when opening the capture (TV-Tuner: Winfast TV2000XP Deluxe) card.

It wasn't just my computer, I've seen multiple complaints on this issue.

My question is: does anyone know if this bug was solved in the latest version (I could just try it myself of course, but I'm pretty tired of constantly crashing my computer with every new VLC version released)?

Thanks and regards.

Thanks for your reply.

When I try to "Open the capture card" my Windows crashes with a blue screen of death.

Thanks.

If you take the time to read this I think it will answer any questions you may have.

Fortunately many are getting there cards to work. That is both the older Analog cards and the newer HD TV cards. Including quite a few capture devices.

Thanks for the pointer, I'll give it a try as soon as possible.
