Playlist disappear after switch channel

Postby GreenWatermelon » 25 Feb 2020 21:20

Hi. When I swiching channels in IP-TV, playlist window will disappear and I must open this by Ctrl+L over and over after next switching. How I can pin playlist window on the side forever? The same problem on all desktop VLC clients.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open IP-TV playlist
2. Call playlist's window by Ctrl+L
3. Switch the channels before playlist will not disappear.

You can disable the Integration of the Video-Interface in the VLC-Player and separate the Video-Window.

Menu / Tools / Preferences / Interface / disable "Integrate video in interface".

Save the Change and Restart the VLC-Player with the Playlist.

You can disable the Integration of the Video-Interface in the VLC-Player and separate the Video-Window.
Then video window will use original size after switch channel.

You can manual switch between Video Size and your custom-made Video or Window Size.

Menu / Tools / Preferences / Interface / use the Option "Resize Interface to Videosize".

Try to disable the Option an save the change. Restart the VLC-Player after every Change.

Shortkey [ Ctrl ] + [ j ] show the Codec-Information with the Video Resolution.

Am having the EXACT same problem. The OP basically means to ask: How do you get the playlist (ie. list of songs) to STAY docked onto your VLC player screen at ALL TIMES? Is there a way to pin in there permanently? It is INCREDIBLY annoying that EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. the song (or media) switches to another, the playlist just disappears again - so that you have to go and manually display it/redock the playlist AFTER. EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. Why is it designed that way (ridiculous!) and more importantly, how can we fix this bug??

Seems so strange that no one on the design/tech team has ever thought of addressing this - it's such a simple/basic feature that every other player on Earth has...
