synchronization problem with subtitles

Hello,

I'm trying to convert an mp4 video to embed subtitles (.ssa file). But in the resulting video I have a lot of subtitles that are not synchronized. There are gaps between the subtitles, while in the .ssa file, I don't leave any gaps. Is there a solution?
