Album art not appearing when playing album

I have now found a third album where the art does not appear. These are all FLAC with Vorbis tags. The art appears in WinAmp, Mp3tag and Tag&Rename. I have tried removing the art, and re-adding a different size, but for these albums the art never appears in VLC.

I have cleared the art cache. I have a batch file on my desktop with:

del C:\Users\donwi\AppData\Roaming\vlc\art\artistalbum\*.* /s /q

And periodically I go there and delete all the folders.

I have Windows 10 and the latest VLC version.

Start a music file and click Tools ---> Media Information. Right click the vlc cone (bottom right) ---> Download cover art.

You can also click "Add cover art from file" provided they're located somewhere on your machine.

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

In going back to check all three albums before proceeding, I noticed something strange. One of the albums is a 2 for 1 album. On those albums I embed the original art for each album, and not the combo art that came with the album. On this album the art does not appear for the first album, but does appear for the second.

I picked the smallest track. WeTransfer wanted all sorts of logins and wanted to send it to someone. I just wanted the link. So I put it here (for three days): http://www.fileconvoy.com/dfl.php?id=ge ... acb6b95ec3

Looks like VLC doesn't like the three dots at the end of the album name because it can't create a folder with dots in its name: The Two Side Of...
Remove these dots and the cover will magically appear

Interesting. In the example I uploaded, the ellipse was being used as a surrogate for the artist's name. I no longer do that. I replaced it and it is now fixed. But for the other two albums the dots (in one case four dots) are part of the album name.

It doesn't work with HIS sample because of the three dots at the end of the album name, as I said.

@Donwiss:
Workaround: use the "…" character (Alt+0133) instead of real dots.
