RTSP stream freezes

Hi

I'm seeing intermittent freezing of RTSP stream from my ip cameras. Potplayer runing in parallel does not freeze.
The connected time counter (bottom left) continues to count and if I press Stop and the Play the stream restarts fine.

The support pages don't cover this so hopefully the below will be of some use.

I've enabled the logger on v3.0.12 and it says:

Ther are no timestamps in the log so it makes it hard to correlate events with the frozen timestamp in the stream.
I've changed the prefs to be RTSP over TCP with no difference.

How do I debug this further?

Any one any ideas how to progress this?

I changed Input/codec h/w accel decoding from Automatic to Disabled and the stream seemed stable. Then I tried using Direct3D11 Accel but the issue returns.

I changed the log to Debug level (Warning showed nothing) and html, but there are so many entries that may or may not be the source of the issue, plus. as noted before, with no timestamps it's hard to know what the triggering event was.

I see lots of these entries:
main warning: picture is too late to be displayed (missing 32 ms)
main debug: resampling stopped (drift: 733 us)
main warning: playback too late (60628): up-sampling
main warning: buffer too late (-567878 us): dropped

One would think that it's obviously the last log entry which shows the problem, but it seems that the log file is only written sporadically, and one has to press stop for the log to be written (and there seems to be no "Stop button pressed" entry), so the correlating a log event to the frozen timestamp on the stream is not at all obvious.
Why are there no timestamps?

I then tried to run two VLC instances with different accel settings but it appears that changing the logger file does not appear to work as a different filename was not generated by the second instance - so maybe there can only be one logger file?
