Blu-ray blues
I am using VLC 3.11 in Windows 10 Pro, v2004 so the software is up to date. The Blu-Ray DVD drive is a brand new LG. Today, being November 24, 2020, I am still unable to play Blu-Ray DVD of commercial films. The instructions found on the web for placing the .cfg and .dll files don't work. At the end, I placed a copies the folders and files EVERYWHERE. What is my option to see a Blu-Ray version of Avatar, on any other film on my desktop for the first time in my life? Install another player? I've been using VLC exclusively since Windows XP.
64bit VLC in Win 10 Pro, and Linux Mint Cinnamon 21.0.

Much thanks for the instructions. Now I can watch BBC Blu-Ray videos of Dr. Who which couldn't find Java, although it's installed and "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Oracle\Java\javapath;" is the first item the path string.
I also have another Blu-Ray video, a B&W 1949 film noir "The Third Man" and this one reports that the player is set to the wrong region (mine is "1"). The DVD is released by CNC, Studio Canal, and Lionsgate. Is there a solution to this issue of region?
