DVD Conversion Problems

Postby raymond1227 » 14 Jul 2020 22:20

So I was trying to convert my DVD into an MP4 file as a backup, the video is 9 minutes and 49 seconds, but here are the problems:
If I use the "H.264 + MP3 (MP4)" option, the sound doesn't work and the video shortens to 7 minutes and 24 seconds (the seconds may change)
If I use the "H.265 + MP3 (MP4)" option, the sound works fine and video length is correct, but the video is like about 15 FPS or so. (The original source is about 30 FPS or so)

I already disabled hardware accelerating, but the problem still occurs.

Here's the screenshot of the files in the DVD VIDEO_TS folder:

There are other reports with conversion issues to MP4.

Try with a nightly build:

Or try to rip with Handbrake:

Thanks for your suggestion, and I just tried that (using H.265), but still no sound.

The strange part, is that when looking via File Explorer, I can not see any of the data files at all, is as if the disc is blank. Although I can't explain that, no doubt that is somehow related to my problem.
