360 video over rtsp?

Postby ae.branton » 18 Jun 2020 19:10

Hey everyone.

I know VLC 3 has the capability to play spherical videos and wrap them properly so they can be scrolled through and viewed, but is it possible to do this on a stream?

We have a 360 camera on an rtsp stream but I can't figure out any manual way to tell it that this is a 360 and have it wrap, nor can I find a way to make sure the stream includes the necessary metadata do this happens automatically

Anyone have any experience here? I've been told by a coworker they have seen it work on Linux via a stream but we are on Windows and can't seem to get it running

all cams are using custom 360 rendering
