VLC 3.08 HEVC black screen

Hi I have a recent computer (Ryzen 3400g ) much memory, butch space on the disks, i coul load and use the windows codec for HEVC,

butr with VLC, i get only a black screen and sound. I used to read x265 in previous versions

any clues?

problem solved. the prefecences was a jam. I reseted the prefernces and all my problems with vlc went out.

Reset preference the one under tool and preference? i try that but still not working i keep getting could not play the vid error

erm meaning? cause it was playing fine in previous version once i update it keep saying cannot open the input or something >.<

Can you post the logs ? We blacklist range of drivers when they behave incorrectly and recently reduced the list, but maybe yours was in a range of affected versions and is not anymore ?
