Aargh! I had reverted to 3.0.7.1 because of this problem in 3.0.8 and was just offered a "new" version which fixed "some minor regressions". Assuming one of the fixes was for this problem, I downloaded and installed it, only to find it was the dreaded 3.0.8 again . Gone back to 3.0.7.1 again
Nightly Build of VLCAargh! I had reverted to 3.0.7.1 because of this problem in 3.0.8 and was just offered a "new" version which fixed "some minor regressions". Assuming one of the fixes was for this problem, I downloaded and installed it, only to find it was the dreaded 3.0.8 again . Gone back to 3.0.7.1 again, and will be very wary of updating until I'm sure it's a later version!
For the benefit of others, 3.0.7.1 is available here: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/3.0.7.1/win64/ I tried the msi version, but it didn't work for me - the exe version was fine.
Hi... where can I find nightly build vlc-3.0.9-20191022-0511
The 1080p video from the files in question is fine and plays perfectly and smoothly, but the audio is echo-y and distorted. I tried formatting my MicroSD card and re-recording a test video clip, same issue. When I play the same file in Windows Media Player, it plays back PERFECTLY, no distorted audio there, so the issue is only with VLC 3.0.8 as my dashcam clips played fine in the previous version I was using just a few days ago.Yes, the videos with the choppy audio are .MOV files, that's why I'm posting it here.
