VLC 4 Nightly in Win 10 - Video will not embed in main interface

Postby mothball » 25 Jul 2019 04:22

Hello did not see a specific VLC 4 forum or thread so i created a new entry - i have been trying the latest VLC 4 with new default interface style (on a dual monitor system) and VLC will not embed the video window into the main interface. I get the control frame with a big empty space where the video should be and the controls on the bottom of the frame and on my other screen I get the video window. I have tried changing the video directx vs. auto vs opengl...

is this a feature that has yet to be completed/perfected?
has anyone else experienced this problem with VLC 4

thanks

thanks for the information and update I really appreciate it. I guess i can stop obsessing over this issue.

Is there a site where the active and inactive features are posted - so that adventurous types like me don't pull what's left of our hair out trying to troubleshoot stuff like like this...

Hi,

I guess it would be trac: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/roadmap

If you create an account there, you can even post usability issues or missing features that are not listed
