"White rabbit" links within main dvd videos aren't supported

I have encountered a few DVDs that contain links to special feature material within the main movie. For example, in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, there is a main menu selection "the killer rabbit" which, when enabled, displays a rabbit at about 1:10:10 and 1:14:46. In The Matrix there is a similar selection under Special Features / The Dream World / Continue / Follow the White Rabbit, which displays a number of rabbits at around 3:03, 32:24, 50:01, etc. When you click on the rabbit, special material is displayed by supporting players, returning to the same point in the main video. I believe I have encountered DVDs which included deleted scenes with similar links (which could be more interesting than these), but cannot immediately name specific examples. I doesn't appear to me that VLC supports these.
