Gigantic Interface all of a sudden

Hey there!

I run Windows 10 on a 55' TV in 4k. For a few months, everything worked normally. But today the interface suddenly became so big that it doesn't fit on the screen anymore. I also can't minimize or maximize it and the taskbar is not visible, no matter if fullscreen or not. I searched the preferences and restored them to default a few times, but nothing changes. I also tried to change the windows preference to resize apps (got it on 250% and I want to keep it that way, worked fine until today), but even if I change that it doesn't change VLC, just everything else.

Anybody else got this problem? Did I accidentally hit some combination of keys that activate this awful interface size?

edit: sorry for bothering you, I tried the old "shut down and start again" procedure a second time and now it's back to normal!

the freshest bundle/discharge changed from the qt4 to the qt5 ui as a matter of course, take a gander at the archwiki hidpi page in the QT segment for the factors you can set to either address the auto-scaling factor or to turn it off.
