Updated to new version of VLC...........

Postby McGreggor » 12 Jan 2006 07:44

I updated to the new version of VLC, but now any online media (music, videos) want to play in the browser instead of opening in either VLC or winamp. Its become rather annoying as I can't pause, stop or adjust the volume.

Like on gamespot when it opens the video, I have no controls to pause or stop the movie. I've tried adjusting settings in all media players and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

If you are using Firefox you are able to define which action will be performed for every file type.

Tools - Options - Downloads - click on "View & Edit Actions" at the bottom of the page - a new window pops up - select an extension - click "Change Action" - now you can define how this extension should be handled.
