Video associations

Postby Cryog » 12 Feb 2019 22:35

I did a clean reinstall of Windows 10 not long ago & I have 2 questions about file associations.
1. I am trying to avoid installing iTunes this time around. So is there a way to play my .m4v files (my downloaded Digital Copy Movies) using VLC?
2. When I play my .mp3 files, either just 1-by-1 or adding a whole folder, all I see is the CD cover. Is there a way to have VLC show a listing of added files the way iTunes shows them?

I tried to find a way to contact VideoLan itself, but I could not find an email, support ticket form or contact number. All I found was a way to submit a 'Bug Report'. My questions have nothing to do w/any bugs.

1) VLC won't play m4v with apple DRM, regular m4v should be fine, there might be some tools around the web to remove the DRM bit (though I never tried any of them)
2) you mean the playlist? view->playlist or the playlist icon in the toolbar

Thank you for the reply & information.
1. One major reason I HATE DRM!
2. Thanks for the instructions, it's (almost) exactly what I was looking for.
