VLC player freezing, when file is missing

I have VLC 3.0.6 Vetinari.I have some song playlists in an external hard drive connected to PC. Sometimes the wire gets loosen and the connection gets lost. This displays some errors in VLC(Which is fine),and VLC is getting freezed(causing Not responding error). This Freezing didn't occur in older versions[2.x] if the file is missing. The weird thing is VLC is keeping playlist playing(skipping to the next track) in the background with no problem. After some time(3-5 minutes) VLC recovers automatically from the freezing. Any feedback?

1. Open: Tools -> Messages.
2. Set Verbosity to 2
3. Start playback to reproduce your issue
4. Save text in a file or copy into clipboard
5. Then paste the full resulting log here between [​code]and[​/code] (or use Pastebin.com if it's too long)

Also don't forget to name your Operating System and provide the VLC media player version.

the above error is being repeated SO MANY times!

I am unable to create the log with debug, It just freezes and gets deleted automatically .
Another thing to note is during the error, the CPU usage is really high about 90%.

Yes, I encounter this issue as well, same as MacOS version. I believe I dont need to open another thread for it? Should be the same as linux version.
When the file is missing from path, VLC will try to load and produce error message repeatedly, like… a few hundred error message per second. and you can't do anything on VLC, it's just frozen and took whole CPU cycles just load, produce error, and repeat it. You stuck into this loop until you force quit this software. It is impossible to get logs as VLC is frozen.
