How to set the large fonts for playlist?

Postby TroppoTroppissimo » 28 Dec 2018 01:14

Hello
If I go to the "C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\vlc" folder and change the zoom parameter from 0 to 4 in the "vlc-qt-interface.ini" file and then set it to read-only, I can to get a playlist with very large font (as I like it) however this way, every time I want to change some VLC settings, I must first remove the read-only option from the configuration file, and then redo the whole editing operation. Is there a way for VLC to remember this option without having to set the config file as read-only?

I don't have to change the file to Read only to get the .INI to preserve zoom=4.

But, it doesn't do anything for me. Probably because I am running 2.2.6. With 2.2.6, the Playlist font size was not greatly reduced. Basically, I will not upgrade beyond 2.2.6 until I CAN SEE THE PLAYLIST WITHOUT USING BINOCULARS.

So, I ask you this: what version of VLC are you running? And on what operating system?

I have the 3.0.4 version on Windows 10, and if I don't set the INI file in read-only mode, the new zoom value is retained only at the first start of VLC, but is reset to 0 as soon as I close it.
