AMBISONICS inert?

Postby marinus » 13 Sep 2018 21:00

I got 3.0.3 and i'm quite pleased. After years of non-updates, finally a real improvement in core image quality (less visual noise, banding). Still the famous clunky interface; that'll take another ten years!
One disappointment is that, under Preferences > Audio > Filters, there's an ambisonics check box, a binauralizer. Sadly, to my ears anyway, it does absolutely nothing. Same with stereo widening and a few others. I've compared VLC sound to PotPlayer and the latter has a wider soundstage, sigh.
Anyway, any suggestions on how to make it work?
Thanking you in advance for your help,
