3.0.3 opens files in a small window, how do you always open files in maximized window like previous VLC versions?

My settings reset when updating to 3 (despite having selected keep settings)

Is there any way to restore this so media always opens in a maximized window?

Basically, my problem is that I want it to open to whichever last size my window was.

Just wanted to jump in the thread as I have the same issue. The "resize interface to the native video size" was unchecked. However my VLC always open in a smaller window.

It's not until I maximize the window, close VLC, and reopen, will it then open as maximized.

Is there anything else we could do to ensure it always opens maximized (not full screen, just maximized)
