Displaying time recorded

Postby dasycneme » 18 Jul 2018 13:19

I film using a Canon XA 10 and the time recorded is saved onto the file, is there any way I can display the time on playback using VLC, I am recording wildlife activity and this information is important.
Thanks for reading this :) Roger

To do anything you should at least provide a sample file :)

Are the time informations stored in a separate file or they are stored inside the video file?

You should post a sample video file (possibly small).

Otherwise how can the problem be fixed?

I can't find how to post a clip so here is a U tube one, I hope it helps, as you can see we are monitoring a cave, therefore timing is important to tie up with recordings, thanks

Youtube convert the video so it lose all extra data, you need to upload it as file ( for example on: http://www.embedupload.com/ ) and then post the link.
