New Version of VLC won't open tab.co.nz live stream

I just upgraded VLC to the new version but now when I try to play the tab live stream it won't play it. The old version did! Error message......
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://streaming.tab.co.nz:80/trackside-radio'. Check the log for details

I chucked your MRL into VLC 3.0.3. Getting audio back out, getting talk on my speakers.

I can't I am sorry - I go to the TAB website and select the TAB Trackside Radio link then it trys to open in VLC and I get the following error. I still have windows XP is that the problem?

?? I am not sure what you mean - I thought the question was fairly specific - its just that I got no decent answer to resolve this issue.

I tried it again right now - didn't work. Message was "VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://streaming.tab.co.nz/trackside-radio'. Check the log for details."

Then I remember, I have a new firewall, so I enabled VLC for internet access in the firewall. Make sure VLC has internet access in your firewall product.

Threw in the link again - getting an audio stream entitled TABTrackSideRadio, genre Sports Racing. My access is from the U.S., midwest region.
VLC 3.0.3 64 bit version, on Win 8.1.

The NZ TAB is not accessible from your current location. For more information please contact our customer services team on helpdesk@tab.co.nz

They probably grant access by country, there is nothing VLC can do about this.
