MKV videos not playing properly

I could play any videos on vlc fine on windows 7 32 bit but other players lagged like WMP and MPC-HC. But after reinstalling windows 7 64 bit every player work fine with mkv videos but VLC doesn't. This is how it plays MKV files:

I tried installing K-lite codec pack but the problem still continued.

Try another video output module:

And/or disable/enable GPU acceleration:

You can also try to enable or disable some video options such as Overlay and/or Hardware YUV -> RGB conversions.

Used different video output modules, disabled hardware acceleration, disabled overaly and YUV -> RGB.
Still not working.

Set VLC to use DXVA3 aka D3D11:
Tools -> Preferences -> Video
Output = D3D11

Tools -> Preferences -> Input/Codecs
Hardware accelerated decoding = D3D11 Video Acceleration

Then save, exit and restart VLC.


And if it doesn't work then open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also please upload a short sample of a problematic file to either Zippyshare.com (200 MB max) or to EmbedUpload.com, the latter will upload the file for you to several other hosts (use the default ones) and then post the link to the file here.

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:

50 MB max should be enough.

So I downloaded two samples of MKV videos. One with the H.264 codec and the other with the VP9 codec. H.264 works fine but the problem is with VP9.

I can't reproduce the issue, it's playing fine to me with VLC 3.0.1.
I'm using D3D11 for video output and DirectX audio output, no problem so far.

Win10/64 (10.0.16299.371)
GTX 1060
VLC 3.0.1

Uninstall "K-lite codec pack" and others codecs, only problems with embedded-codecs players (VLC, MPC/HC, SM).
