VLC 2.2.8 - Cursor does not hide on Windows 10

What's up VLC bros..

Windows 10 - Version 1709 - 16299.309 - also known as the creators update.

VLC 2.2.8 - Weatherwax

Ever since this Windows update the cursor has failed to hide on VLC. Both windowed and full screen.

What I've tried:

- Toggling full screen with F or using double clicks to set full screen does NOT resolve this. Cursor still shown.

- Installing VLC 3 has more problems than this so I reverted back to the stable build.

I understand moving the mouse to the side is a band-aid solution, but that's it. Still not a fix.

Can we get an actual fix on this?

As mentioned I did try 3 before posting, but it has more problems than 2.2.8

Is there a release schedule for the next update?

I'm not trying to be a jerk or selfish or anything, but when we report bugs like this it's to make the software better, the collaboration and feedback of all of us helps VLC to be it's best.

It's a fair request that we can get this bug sorted for the next stable release.

We are not going to fix issues in 2.2 now that 3.0 is out. So if you want anything fixed it has to be bugs in 3.0.

Question, based on previous release history and the current roadmap (https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/roadmap), when do you estimate the stable version 3 will be released?

Just curious when you think it will happen, I understand there is no date set so let's just pretend it's a guess, what date would you guess?
