Formats that work when creating a file from mini DV

Postby Corapuna » 20 Mar 2018 04:32

Firstly - many thanks to the team for the go to player for all my video files!

I have been learning how to convert family video shot on mini DV tape using Panasonic NV-DS60 some 14 years ago to appropriate format on my PC I have found that the later listed profiles on the drop down work: "Video Youtube", "Video for Android", "Video for ipod". By work I mean audio present as well as a video recording

Conversely the earlier ones record the video part of the file, but there is no audio playback. Examples include "Video H264 + MP3 (MP4)", "Video H_265 + MP3(MP4)", "Video MPEG_2 + MPGA (TS)"

If there are any suggestions to help me understand why, I would be very grateful

You should provide some logs of the formats that don't work. It should say why it's not working.
