VLC 3.0 and FLV files

Postby pseudo555 » 27 Feb 2018 13:45

Hi,

First of all, many thanks for your hard work to keep upgrading such a nice tool.

taht being said, i saw one regression in vlc 3.0 wich was not present in the previous major release :
When i play some (> 5 years old) FLV file, everything is fine until i try to go to a specific timestamp.
If i do that, the file is skipped and the next one is played instead.

Is this a known issue ?
And if it's a known one, when can i got a fix for that issue ?

Thanks

FLV is known broken.
No surprise timestamps can't be found.
:!: If you want your problem to be solved :
* First read troubleshooting guide VSG:Main
* Always provide verbose LOGS ! (command line or from gui)
* Always check your issue against a developer build from Nightly Build of VLC
* Tell us when your problem is solved !

Ok, is there any eta for the fix to be available (from nightly or in stable channel) ?
Or a publick tracking issue so we (or at least I) can check the fix progress ?

Edit :
https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/7308

From what i read, this issue come back from time to time in some libavformat version.
