VLC 3.0.0 - error message in windows event protocol for applications

Postby #thweiss » 17 Feb 2018 11:10

Hello

in the windows event protocol for applications are some critical error messages "Event-ID: 1000" for the VLC-Version 3.0.0.0, Timestamp: xdee6e6" logged.

My Operating System is Windows 10 pro.

Are there any ideas to avoid the error message?

Thank's Thomas

Hello #thweiss,

its the same like mine: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=142451

I think the version 3.0.0 is still too new to be presented with a solution. We'll probably have to wait until the error messages pile up on Videolan. Maybe the problem will be fixed soon. Until then I stay with version 2.2.8.

So wait ...

Richard

Hello Richard,

yes, your log-protocol looking identical.

Thanks to Lotesdelere for the right hint and link to the topic / thread.

Lobster wrote on 15.02.2018 in the tread, that the error will repair in the VLC-Version 3.0.1.

On my computer the VLC Version 3.0.0 32-Bit and now 64-Bit works fine for receiving IPTV or DVB-T2 in germany.
Receiving and watching german DVB-T2 (h.265-Codec) is definitively better than in the VLC-Version 2.2.8 (32-Bit).

Thomas
