Does VLC Support DVB-T2 (German specification)

Postby Hannibalstgt » 16 Dec 2017 15:50

Hello,

I have posted some time ago (in 2014) a guide of how to use VLC as TV-set in order to show DVB-T broadcastings.
This seems not to work for DVB-T2 broadcasting. German DVB-T2 is slightly different from DVB-T2 streams of other countries
(e.g. France and Great Britain - probably also Austria and Switzerland it uses 1920x1080 pixel sized progressive images compressed with H.265 (HEVC) Codec ).
It tells me in the error list, that my Capture Device does not support the specified options although this device
( Terratec CinergyT2 Stick BDA Filter ) perfectly works with the DVB-Viewer Pro V6.0.4.0. in Germany.

Is there somethig specific, that has to be kept in mind, when trying to show German DVB-T2 broadcasting.

Many thanks in advance for any hints
Wolfgang

Hi
Maybe its better to talk in German. Sry for all nativ English speaking people my English is worse...

#EXTM3U
#-------
#EXTINF:1,TVChannel
#EXTVLCOPT:dvb-bandwidth=8
#EXTVLCOPT:program=
dvb-t://frequency=730000000
#-------
#EXTINF:1,TV1
#EXTVLCOPT:dvb-bandwidth=8
#EXTVLCOPT:program=14107
dvb-t://frequency=498000000

14107 = PID wie du die her bekommen kannst kann ich dir noch erklären.
