RC6 Playlist Bug

Testing out the latest nightlies: vlc-3.0.0-20180114-0507-rc6-win64

Load a few items on the playlist screen.
Play one.
Video preview plays but you can't hit the playlist button to close the playlist view.

Hi, thanks for the report,

I can't reproduce your bug at the moment.

- Is the playlist button grayed out or unresponsive ?
- Does switching the playlist view via menu (View->playlist) or the shortcut (Ctrl + L) works?
- Does the playlist button works once the video is stopped?
- Is your playlist a mix of audio/music and video medias?

I have two similar systems and I am unable to reproduce the issue on one as well.

First, I'll answer your questions:
- No
- No
- Yes
- H265 Video in MKV. Tested other file formats and the issue is NOT present

The system that does NOT work properly has a 4K monitor.
I tried turning the DPI down to 100% and rebooting but the issue is the same.

Please let me know what else you need.

same OS version / vlc version / test files?

So it only happens with some files ?!?

I just uploaded a sample and referenced this thread.
However, I could not reproduce it on my one system either.

I'm trying to figure out the differences between our two systems.
Besides a slightly different GPU and CPU, they are identical.
I mentioned the 4K display earlier because that's the first thing that I thought it was (DPI related).
When testing, I delete the %AppData%\vlc directory on each system to rule out any issues there.

No problem.

Since I can't replicate it on the other machine and you can't either, I won't bother putting in a ticket.
Devs can't fix what they can't replicate.

The un-docked playlist is a work around for the issue.
