Unstable http playing (local network)

Postby postscripter » 21 Jul 2017 09:11

Hi, all! Need help with my 2.2.4 on Win 7 x64.

There is a PC which do a broadcast from an ASF file without recompression. Just remuxing asf -> asf. And a lot of PCs, which can receive it flawlessly. Different windows versions from Win2K to Win10 and different VLC builds. They are all prefectly OK.

But in one gloomy room full of gloomy admins and frightening things (like domain system, policies, etc), I can not make it work flawlessly. I have constant freezes, like if VLC reads the stream faster, than this stream actually is. I've attached a diagramm, where you can see some gaps.

- First I thought about system timer. NTP can speedup it to sync time. But it's okay, time is correct, NTP does not speedup anything.
- Then I checked packet loose with iperf and got barely 0.0012% (checked with 50 mbit and the broadcasting is about 2 mbit).
- Then I tried to inc. buffering, but it only increased a time between freezes and did not cure.

Now there is nothing to check. What else can I do?

PS Broadcast command = ":file-caching=500 :sout=#duplicate{dst=http{mux=asf,dst=:8080/},dst=display} :no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap :ttl=25 :sout-keep"

Does this forum not have guru's who know how to setup this program? I understand it's a free software but almost every single post to do with rtp / streaming is unanswered!?
