Wanted to report an issue in case anyone else runs across it:
User contacted us stating that VLC is not displaying multicast streams. They were connecting to a valid UDP stream, and they were not receiving any error messages, it was simply not displaying any content after connecting. After coming across forums mentioning "VLC doesn't like multiple NIC's" and "Once you disable and reboot, it works", I disabled all NIC's except for 1: a Virtual NIC created by Blackberry 10 software for sync'ing data between the mobile device and PC. Disabling existing NIC's didn't help, until I removed the Blackberry 10 software & rebooted. After rebooting I was able to successfully view the UDP stream on that PC. *NOTE: After successfully playing the stream we rolled back all other changes to the PC during troubleshooting (except for the removal of BB10 software) and the PC was still able to successfully view the UDP stream after rebooting.
Anyway, all this to say that BB10 software installed on Windows PC's does not play well with VLC streaming functionality. Wanted to let the community know.
