Force window resize

Hello, i'm using this line to start VLC: "vlc --no-video-deco --no-embedded-video --video-x=600 --video-y=300 --video-on-top --width=640 --height=480"

But everytime when i open video VLC resizing video to match video source:

When i turn off Video Auto Scalling video just becoming cropped:

Try it with version 2.0.8 or earlier!

It is better not to set the width and the height - only either the width or the height!

This does work with 2.0.8.

How come this is not working on the recent versions ?
