VLC 2.2.4 issues with .m3u8 streaming
Recently, updated VLC and noticed some issues with .m3u8 streaming. If the source stream ends, VLC will freeze and not allow me to open a new stream or file. Also the close button appears to hide the window; instead of, closing the application. I've only noticed these issue under that particular circumstance. I don't seem to have a problem, if I stop streaming or open a new file before the source ends. I tried resetting preferences and rebooting, but the issue remains.

I've had these same issues, and was about to file a bug report -- have you already done so?
