bottom green line

after updating my a green line appears at the bottom of my VLC player

windows 10 up to date build
AMD R9 up to date driver
intel i7 4770k
8gb of ddr-3 ram
VLC installed on a SSD drive with the video files running off a secondary HDD

this problem just happened with VLC player was running fine before the update

is cause by the AMD --please stay polite-- RADEON driver! Change your Video output to GL and is gone! Gosh i hate --please stay polite-- AMD!!! It overwrites your picture and sound! Just like those --please stay polite-- enhancement by SONY!

Hi, just to clarify the things, because as far as I know VLC team is working to solve this.
It is not cause of AMD it is not cause of AMD drivers.
Why not? Because I do not update my AMD driver since 2013, and I am using VLC all these years, without any problem.
As HiRolliN said, this happen after the last update. Yes, before we did not have any problem.
Something they have changed in the newest VLC, that shows a green line and only happen with AMD graphics cards.
It is not a question of having an old or new driver. Happen always.
This issue is affecting AMD people.
And yes, you can solve it temporarily switching to OpenGL.
Let's hope VLC people solve this as soon as possible.

got it work going into the video settings again and un-check the box that says use hardware yuv > rgb conversions

i tried the open gl method and it did not work.
