No audio on playback of recorded video

Anyone know how to fix the no audio issue on playback of recorded videos? This is an old issue but just got the newest VLC version, I was hoping this was a fix but still same issue....please help ....Thanks

You need to provide information about what you are doing exactly. For example if you are recording a video with ac3-audio in mp4 container I think it is simply normal since mp4 container is not compatible with ac3 audio but without information from your side this is only a guess.

Playing any VLC video, sometimes I want to record a short clip from the video. I click the red record button and then click again at the point i want to stop. Vlc creates and plays my clip with no problem.......but has no audio. This feature used to work but stopped about 6 months ago.

VLC record does not work on newer versions. It does not produce correct clips. Older version 2.0.3 I use produces correct clips.

Yes it does make clips, just clips have no audio

Okay so I uninstalled the latest version and got the 2.0 version........Audio works on recorded clips again......Thank you.........Shame new versions couldn't fix this
