DVD Menu Not Responding

I have been watching the How I Met Your Mother Complete series, and the first 3 seasons have been fine. Once I got to season 4 disc 2, I noticed that in VLC the menu for episode selection doesn't show any changing once the menu option was clicked to get there (this is the first time I have noticed such a problem with any DVD I have ever played in VLC). However, the menu works just fine in Power Media Player 12.0.6.5104. I then tried it in the most recent git version, which partially resolves the problem in that I can see blue underlining moving depending on where I mouse over. Precisely:
OS: Windows 10 Home Insider Preview Build 14342 64 bit

(I should also point out that the background pictures in each of the above screenshots are different only because of when I clicked the Episode Selection button)
