I have Windows 7 x64 Professional & VLC 2.2.1 for Windows x64 .
Can VLC media player play Blu-rays? I get errors.
Blu-ray error:
This Blu-ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'. Check the log for details.
So, it says my system does not have a library for AACS decoding. That means my computer does not a have a library?
I'm trying to play the Blu-ray disc with a Blu-ray drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product
I thought VLC had a a built in/ came with a library for Blu-ray playback/ AACS decoding.

Blu-ray discs can be encrypted with AACS and BD+ protections. The Blu-ray disc I'm trying to play has AACS encryption.
From reading the forums, I'm not the only one having problems playing Blu-ray discs. I purchased Windows 7, the Blu-ray disc, & a Blu-ray drive for my computer to play Blu-ray discs. So now I have to purchase Blu-ray software for Blu-ray playback, too? I removed Windows Media Player & Windows Meida Center from my computer. Can Windows Media Player play Blu-ray discs?
In the end, DRM really sucks.
