VLC mono audio option is gone

Postby AhhShark » 03 Sep 2015 11:01

I'm on windows 8
I can't find how to change my audio to mono anymore. I don't like how stereo plays bass out of one ear and treble out of the other, so I prefer mono.

Under the toolbar, in audio, I only see Audio track, Audio device, and stereo mode. Other than that, just visualization mode and volume.

In Preferences>Audio.... there's no mono option. If I show all settings, the sub-sections are only: Filters, output modules, speex sampler, SRC sampler, and visualizations. What the heck?

From output modules, you have DirectSound/DirectX, where you can override the OS audio channel mapping, assuming you use DirectSound.
