i've win 8.1 64bit and vlc -portable-

i'd like to install vlc plug in in firefox and chrome
in order to play some video on web which require it

pls guide me and help me!!

You could add these registry keys:

chrome should use the same keys.

Attiva NPAPI Mac, Windows
Consente di attivare l'utilizzo dei plug-in NPAPI. In Chrome 45 verranno rimossi questo flag e il supporto di NPAPI. Visita la pagina g.co/npapi #enable-npapi

I think the key "ChromePlugins" will not work, try it with "MozillaPlugins"

Chrome uses the same registry keys. It works fine for me with chrome portable.

..infact now doin it on mozillaplugins makes me allow it also with chrome...very strange..!!

NPAPI plugins will be always registered in MozillaPlugins for compatibility with mozilla based browsers and the most of other browsers. Only the plugin for Internet Explorer will registered over an other way.
