VLC 2.2.1 'Encoded by' metadata field not saved

Postby Onox » 10 Jul 2015 14:22

Hi,

I am using VLC 2.2.1 on Windows 8.1, and tried to edit the 'Encoded by' metadata field of some vorbis files, but the changes are not saved (the other fields work). I can see that the 'Modified' timestamp on a file gets updated in Windows Explorer, but the changes are not actually saved by VLC, or maybe VLC cannot read that value the next time you select 'Information...' when right-clicking a track in the playlist. I also tried with a MP3 file and it does not work either.

Yes, it cannot be saved in all formats in VLC.
