This is the wrong solution, as explained above.dimmel said it. If you go to the website and click on the get VLC button it serves you up the 32 bit file. Although this should work it didnt for me.
FIX
uninstall what ever version you have.
Follow the other operating systems link and download the 64 bit version. Install.
Solved all my VLC problems.

Can confirm. Works great after changing to 64-bit version of 2.2.0.I downloaded and installed the VLC Player in 64 Bit.

Now everything works fine.
I'd love to use this fix while VLC 2.2.1 isn't released, but i can't download it >.>Temporary fix:
Replace libflac_plugin.dll from \Plugins\Codec with this one:
