I have VLC 2.1.5 and have set up the play screen separate to the control panel. Problem is that I can't close the currently playing video using the red cross on the top right of the window. Nothing happens when it is pressed. The 'Stop playback' button on the control panel works fine though.
Is this a fault or is there a 'disable' setting I have missed?
But I am still not clear, is this a fault that will be corrected on a future version if so, do you know when that might be.
To others here, does anyone else experience this or is it just me?
Reminder: when I open a video in a separate window, I cannot close it by clicking on the small cross in the top right or the close function in the drop down menu on the top left.
This is a bug !!!!!!
Up to version Rincewind it was possible with the Close button to close a video window on Windows top right of the header.
This ticket: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/11500 I wrote October 2014. But no one interested.
Yes, so it is. Three specialists, jb, coumisch and Melis do not understand the role in Windows the Close button.
The other two buttons to work (for minimizing and maximizing).
I must say I am used to being able to close windows this way.
Is there any way of being able to download a previous version of VLC where this works correctly. I have tried a number of links but they all took me to the latest version. I am happy to use something older until the problem is fixed.
