VIDEO SKIPPING - HELP!!

Postby kevinf2014 » 09 Dec 2014 01:14

I really like VLC, especially the fact that I can record right from the program. I seem to be running into a problem. When it's playing or if I choose the record option, it skips quite a few times - enough times that I don't want to upload the videos to youtube like that. If I play in windows media player, it doesn't skip. Yes, I can change the file name from VOB to MP4 just by renaming it, but I guess due to the length, in chapter 3 there are 2 separate files and it should be one - that's the whole point of using VLC for me! A while back I had this problem, and somewhere I read if you choose "Folder" instead of directly "open disc' it fixes it - that did help... but it now seems it's back again. I also tried what I read which is to go into the preferences and choose higher relay, but that didn't work also.

Again, same file, windows media play is no problem. I have the latest version of VLC, and tried the latest beta version as well. Using Windows 7 64-Edition.
