Dual screen setup annoyance.

Postby rog69 » 20 Jul 2014 12:02

HI,

I have an annoying issue with VLC alternating between my two screens when it opens.

If I open a video file VLC will open on one screen and if I close it and then open the file again it will then open on the other screen.
I could sit there all day and open and close files and it will alternate between the 2 displays every time, never opening on the same screen twice in a row.

This is a little frustrating as the second screen is off for most of the time as it is only occasionally used for a couple of specific things. I just want to have VLC open on my main display every time.

I've searched the forum and I can't find a solution so I would appreciate any help.

I am running Windows 7 pro 64bit and VLC version 2.1.3 Rincewind (the problem has been occurring on earlier versions too).

Thanks for reading.

Rog.

Me to, I donot need the command line interface.
How to disable it, so it will not be launched. Vainly tried to find something on Rincewind under Settings/Advanced.
When closing Rincewind it will also close VLC.

Thanks
