I recently posted a topic about the "X" quit button disappearing from my VLC, but got no responses, so I decided to uninstall and reinstall VLC. I have customarily used Revo Uninstaller Free, and was surprised to find that Revo did not list VLC, so I asked Revo support for an explanation. I thought you all might be interested in their reply:
Basically most common reason if you do not see some programs in the
list of installed programs of Revo Uninstaller Free is if you are using
a 64 bit Windows version and missing programs are installed as native 64
bit programs. The reason is that Revo Uninstaller Free doesn't fully
support 64 bit system yet. Revo Uninstaller Pro supports 64-bit Windows
versions and it is 30 days fully functional trial:
I still don't know why the "X" quit button disappeared from my VLC, or how to restore it.
