Converting MOV to WEBM, no sound?

Postby Double44 » 01 Jul 2014 05:56

Hi, I'm trying to convert a 20sec MOV file to WEBM format, keeping no sound. I'm trying to add a webm to a website that does not allow sound in it, the file is rejected otherwise.

I can convert to WEBM successfully, but I am not able to add the webm to the website in question.. there may be some sound left in, although i cannot hear any. Also, when playing this webm in VLC, I am shown a duration of 14:48, but stops after 20secs. When selecting webm from the 'Edit Selected Profile' menu, i am shown the message below:
"This muxer is not provided by VLC: It could be missing." ....whatever that means!

The convert was ok, the playback seems ok, and the 5MB filesize is better than the 53MB file i had. However, the duration appears to be bugged (at least in VLC), and I'm not able to upload this file to the site i want.

Help?

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the conversion, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.
