Cannot jump to certain time of dailymotion videos

Postby sandipkc7 » 18 Apr 2014 00:37

Hi there,
I downloaded few videos from dailymotion, as I always don't have good internet for viewing them online.
I noticed that I cannot jump on specific time of those downloaded videos. If i try to jump to specific time, it will start from beginning. The videos are on format of .flv or .mnft, If i want to jump to 40:00 in the video, I have to play video in faster speed to get to that position. Currently I am using Liquid Studio Flv player as an alternative and I am using vlc for all other purpose, and I love vlc, I would like to have this type of function on vlc player.
So is there any way I can jump on certain time of those videos?

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also upload a short sample of a problematic file to either http://streams.videolan.org/upload/ or to Zippyshare.com (200 MB max) or to EmbedUpload.com, the latter will upload the file for you to several other hosts (use the default ones) and then post the link to the file here.

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:

50 MB max should be enough.

I know this is late but, I just found out how to jump to a specific time with Daily Motion...
1st calculate how many seconds is the jump
for example if your time jump is 3 minutes 40 seconds just calculate 3 X 60 (for 60 seconds) and take this answer and add
40 seconds so 3 minutes 40 seconds is 220 seconds so just take your url with Daily Motion and
add at the end ?start=220 and that's it.
