VLC slowing my laptop

Postby lostinfantry » 25 Mar 2014 20:42

Just recently ( about two weeks ago, at most) My computer has started slowing down. It seems to be fine most of the time until I try opening VLC player. Then, the laptop slows down, the movie pixelates and the audio becomes slow and choppy. When I look at process manager it would show SVChost.exe is eating up a lot of the speed. Is anyone else having this issue? I'm thinking I might uninstall and reinstall VLC and see if that fixes it.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled but the VLC is still eating up processing power as I stat the movie. (The movie is 1080p)

It seems I need to restart my laptop to get it to run normally with VLC.
