No audio with M-Audio 2496 card

Postby chane » 10 Feb 2014 07:12

After I installed the driver http://m-audio.com/index.php?do=support ... S=x72#tabs I then installed the card in my old Dell 8400 desktop.
The audio works fine in Samplitude DAW but when I play a DVD movie or CD in both Windows Media Player and VLC
version 2.1.3 I get clicks and pops, though the video is ok. M-Audio said that I shouldn't have any problems with VLC,
though they didn't say why, just that Window Media player would be a problem. And I know that the problem is not the
old Plextor PX760A drive because I can rip CD tracks with it via EAC with zero errors most of the time. The Dell has
a Prescott processor and 3GB memory.

Probably a driver issue.
