Option --no-qt-notification Windows XP

Postby GeoffCo » 11 Dec 2013 11:41

(New to VLC) Using VLC 2.0.8
The command line option --no-qt-notification works on Windows 7
But is rejected on Windows XP SP3 ("VLC Media Player could not start..")
The option --qt-notification is accepted however.

Can this be correct?

No, this should be accepted everywhere. Use 2.1.2 though...

Still rejected on command line (with 2.1.2).
But UI Preferences/Interface Settings/Show Media Change popup = 'Never' does work however.

Thus is not just with Windows XP with the newer versions of VLC for Windows. I also opened a bug report on this issue.
