Can't upgrade to latest version

Postby dc2257 » 26 Dec 2013 18:22

I currently have 2.0.3 and I'm periodically asked to download the latest version, but any time I try, just as the download finishes VLC crashes, and I get a 'can't connect to ftp server' error when I go to report it.
Do I need to uninstall and download from scratch?

Uninstall it the current version.
Try using the version 2.0.8 from here.
Install the new version with admin rights.

I didn't see the admin rights option, so I hope I'm not missing out on anything, but it looks like it installed just fine.
-Thank you!
